The Honda Passport, available as part of the automotive market from 1994 to 2002, was an Isuzu-produced, compact sports-utility vehicle (SUV). Essentially the same vehicle as the Isuzu Rodeo, Isuzu produced the Passport for Honda as part of a partnership agreement. Isuzu supplied Honda with the SUV as long as it, in turn, supplied Isuzu with passenger cars to sell. The agreement worked well, and the Passport remained on the market until it was replaced in 2002 by the manufacturer's own SUV, the Pilot.

Roomy, visually pleasing and generally reliable, the vehicle sports a 3.2-liter, twin-cam, V6 engine and on-demand four-wheel drive. However, the vehicle is known neither for its comfort nor for its luxury. The compact SUV is, in fact, notable for some significant design flaws that require repair. Among them are:

  • Crackling audio speakers, due to broken, badly grounded or misrouted wires
  • Rough idling and illumination of the check-engine light due to cracks in the intake gasket
  • Steering-wheel noise related to the wiring harness for the airbag
  • Cracking of the outside, rear mirror due to uneven heating when the defroster is in use
